(Purdi: Poly Urethane Radio-opaque Device for Interventions)
The Purdi’s are designed and produced by hand to maximise a realistic approach. Due to pressure during the process of moulding there might be a misalignment of the spine, but that is also the case in reality.
The specimens (purdi’s) are made of a soft polyurethane, which is a safe, robust tissue which contains no harmful products.
The specimen is reusable for a longer period, of course depending on handling the purdi.
When wear and tear sets in, the specimen can easily be refurbished to new for a fraction of the initial purchase price.
